BALI DEEP CAMP

Learn to dive deeper in the warm clear waters of Bali with a group of Australia’s top freedivers. Each day is filled with breathwork and stretching sessions, freediving workshops, deep diving and recovery sessions that are designed to help participants develop the skills and knowledge to conquer new depths.

3 Instructors, 12 students, 6 days and up to 45m depth in clear warm water just a short swim from shore.  Hosted in a custom built Freedivers Village in Amed, Bali, we have access to both pool and ocean facilities allowing us to run a range of freediving workshops.  Outside of planned activities there will be opportunities to explore some of the incredible local dive sites like the US Liberty Shipwreck nearby in Tulamben.

Our experienced group of instructors are all freediving athletes and will share the keys to their success.  You will develop new skills and confidence for deeper diving and learn to structure your training to develop your physical adaptation, equalisation and confidence to take your diving to new depths.

MEET THE INSTRUCTORS:

Jarrod Briffa

Jarrod has represented Australia in pool freediving at several World Championship competitions where he has set multiple National Records and a Continental record.  Jarrod’s competitive journey has helped to open his mind to levels of potential he would have otherwise thought impossible. Jarrod is a full-time freediver, spending his days coaching other athletes, teaching breathwork, instructing courses through his business Drifters Freediving and training himself to discover even greater levels of potential.  Jarrod has loved exploring many different approaches to training over the last several years and he is thrilled to be able to share his insights with his clients.  The last several years Jarrod has dedicated time to train equalisation and overcome previous sinus and equalisation issues to achieve significant progression in depth.   Jarrod loves helping his students to find a calmness in the water that extends beyond freediving and offers tools and insights for everyday life.

Ash Mercer

Ashleigh has been fortunate enough to dive, train and teach in many amazing locations overseas and in Australia and has now taken the leap into the world of competitive freediving. Ash represented Australia at the 2023 Pool World Championsips in Jeju, South Korea, overcoming competition nerves to perform a PB dive on the last day. Ash progressed quite rapidly to a depth of 50m, but after 50m encountered several challenges which she has spent the last two years overcoming. She has focused on learning skills in advanced equalisation and relaxation to conquer these challenges and progress comfortably to deeper depths. Ash has been instructing freediving for the last couple years and really enjoys empowering her students to realise their own potential and dive safely to depths they hadn’t thought possible.

Jack Webb

Jack is an Australian competitive freediver and Molchanovs instructor and he has been exploring the depths since his early teens. Whether it's a line or with a speargun in hand, Jack has delved into underwater worlds around the globe. When he is not teaching freediving, his focus is on training and curiously exploring his limits.  To Jack, Freediving is more than a sport – it's a lifestyle of continuous challenges and growth, while immersed in nature, living your best life. It's a tool to connect with the body, teaching one respect and when to gently push. Regardless of your experience level, Jack enjoys guiding people to relax, dive deeper and safer, build confidence and foster a love for the underwater world.

Whether you're into the competitive side, meditation, spearfishing or trying something new, Jack is here to support you.
