The AIDA 3 is and advanced course for students who have already learned the fundamentals in an AIDA 2 course, or equivalent, and wish to become better divers. This course is taught over a minimum of 4 days and is designed to further develop the skills learned in the fundamentals course as well as develop new skills such as free fall, deeper frenzel equalisation and training tables.

As we go deeper and the pressure increases it becomes vital to understand the physiological impacts of pressure on the body at depth. A core element of the theory of this course covers the pressure related risks and how to mitigate them.

This is a challenging next step for divers that have accomplished the skills required under AIDA 2 and a great next step in reaching deeper depths and longer breath holds.

By the end of the course the students will know everything they need to to dive comfortably to a depth of 24-30m and hold their breath longer than 2 minutes and 45 seconds.

This Course is run over three Saturdays

The first Saturday is at MSAC (Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre).

Saturday 2 and 3 is a morning and afternoon dive at Lake Purrumbete in Camperdown.
